Privacy Policy

Upromp (the "Service") respects user privacy and establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") to appropriately handle personal information and other information related to users.

1. Information We Collect

Upromp may collect the following information to the extent necessary to provide and operate the service.

  • (1) Account information Email address, username, display name, password authentication information, login status, and other information necessary for account creation and authentication.
  • (2) Profile information Bio, profile image URL, external links, private account settings, follows, followers, and follow request information.
  • (3) Post information Post titles, summaries, categories, post types, prompts, AI outputs, additional turns, shared links, creator comments, useful points, disappointing points, tags, visibility settings, posted and updated dates, and other information submitted to the service.
  • (4) Reactions and usage information Views, Likes, Bookmarks, Follows, follow requests, searches, reports, feedback, inquiries, administrative response history, and other information generated through use of the service.
  • (5) Technical information IP address, browser information, device information, access date and time, referrer URL, cookies, localStorage, and other technical information necessary for secure operation and improvement of the service.

2. Purposes of Use

Upromp uses collected information for the following purposes.

  • (1) To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the service.
  • (2) To handle user registration, login, identity verification, authentication, and account management.
  • (3) To provide features such as posting, search, display, Like, Bookmark, Follow, follow requests, reports, and feedback.
  • (4) To properly control visibility settings, private account settings, followers-only posts, private posts, draft posts, and similar features.
  • (5) To prevent, investigate, and respond to unauthorized use, spam, rights infringement, terms violations, and security issues.
  • (6) To respond to inquiries, reports, deletion requests, and feedback from users.
  • (7) To analyze usage and improve features, quality, and UI/UX.
  • (8) To send important notices about terms, policies, feature changes, and security.
  • (9) To respond to requests from laws, regulations, or public authorities.
  • (10) For purposes incidental to the above.

3. Visibility of Post Information

Depending on the visibility settings selected by the user, post information may be displayed to other users or general visitors.

  • (1) Public Post titles, summaries, categories, post types, prompts, AI outputs, additional turns, shared links, creator comments, useful points, disappointing points, tags, and similar information may be publicly visible.
  • (2) Followers only Some information such as the post title may be displayed, but detailed information such as the body, prompt, AI output, shared links, and creator comments will be shown only to the poster, approved followers, and other users permitted by the service.
  • (3) Private and drafts These are displayed only to the poster. However, operators may review them to the extent necessary for service safety management, report handling, terms violation handling, and similar operational needs.
  • (4) Administrative unpublishing Posts may be unpublished or deleted when necessary due to terms violations, rights infringement, reports, or other operational reasons.

Users should take sufficient care not to include personal information, confidential information, or information that infringes third-party rights in their posts.

4. Shared Links

If a user posts a shared link from ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, or another external service, the linked content may be viewed by third parties.

Users who post shared links must confirm for themselves that the linked content does not include personal information, confidential information, third-party copyrighted works, content that infringes third-party rights, or content that violates the terms of the relevant external service.

The poster is responsible for the content of shared links.

5. Cookies and localStorage

Upromp may use cookies and localStorage to maintain login status, ensure security, store display settings, perform simple view-count controls, improve convenience, and understand usage.

Users can disable cookies through browser settings. However, some features of the service may become unavailable if cookies are disabled.

6. External Services

Upromp may use the following external services.

  • (1) Supabase Used for user authentication, databases, and storage and management of post information, profile information, reactions, reports, feedback, and related data.
  • (2) Vercel Used for hosting, delivery, deployment, and access processing for the service.
  • (3) Google Search Console and similar services May be used to confirm search engine registration status, improve the site, and check SEO.
  • (4) Other external services In the future, external services may be used for access analytics, abuse prevention, inquiry handling, email delivery, and similar purposes. In such cases, this policy will be updated as necessary.

Please refer to each external service's privacy policy and related documents for how information is handled by those services.

7. Provision to Third Parties

Upromp will not provide users' personal information to third parties except in the following cases.

  • (1) When the user has given consent.
  • (2) When required by law.
  • (3) When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property.
  • (4) When especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children.
  • (5) When cooperation with a national government agency, local public entity, or their delegate is necessary.
  • (6) When handling of information is entrusted to contractors or external service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
  • (7) When information is provided in connection with succession of business due to merger, business transfer, or other reasons.

8. Security Measures

Upromp will endeavor to take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access, unauthorized use, and similar incidents involving collected information.

However, because transmission of information over the internet and use of cloud services involve certain risks, Upromp does not guarantee complete security.

9. User Control of Information

Users may be able to review, edit, or delete their own profile information, post information, visibility settings, and similar information on the service.

If you wish to delete your account or posts, or request confirmation, correction, or deletion of personal information, please contact us through the prescribed method or the contact below. After verifying your identity, we will respond to the extent required by law and necessary for service operation.

Even after responding to a deletion request, backups, logs, and records required by law or for operational reasons may be retained for a certain period.

10. Use by Minors

If a minor uses the service, they should obtain parental or guardian consent as necessary.

11. Retention Period

Upromp retains user information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.

When information is no longer necessary due to account deletion, post deletion, termination of the service, or similar reasons, Upromp will endeavor to delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period. However, information necessary for legal compliance, dispute handling, abuse prevention, security, backup management, and similar purposes may be retained for a certain period.

12. Changes to This Policy

Upromp may change this policy as necessary.

For important changes, Upromp will notify users by posting on the service or by other appropriate methods. The revised policy takes effect when posted on the service.
